Depression and anxiety
- Does any of this sound like you?
- Do you wake up wishing the day wouldn’t begin?
Do you feel so overwhelmed that even the smallest tasks feel too heavy to bear?
Have you noticed a deep anger rising within you—constant and unfamiliar—making it hard to recognize yourself?
Are you carrying thoughts that frighten you, even ones that question your own will to keep going? - If any of this resonates with you, I want you to hear this clearly:
You are not lazy . You are tired. Exhausted. Burdened. Likely carrying more than anyone can see.
What feels like anger may actually be grief. Beneath the surface, there may be layers of unspoken pain, loss, and emotional weight trying to find a way out. - You don’t have to carry this alone. Together, we can gently explore what’s behind the heaviness—and find ways to heal, to breathe again, to live with meaning and direction.
- Sometimes, a lack of purpose or clarity can lead to deep anxiety or depression. But you were made for more. I’m here to help you rediscover your why, to reconnect with what matters to you, and to walk with you toward healing, strength, and renewed hope.
Anger management
Anger is often a secondary emotion—it can act as a mask for deeper issues such as unresolved trauma, grief, anxiety, or emotional pain. In our sessions, we work together to identify and explore these underlying causes. When the root issues are acknowledged and addressed, individuals often find that their anger naturally decreases over time.
However, this is not always the case. In some situations, anger becomes a learned behavioural response that requires direct intervention. That’s why emotional regulation is a key part of the therapeutic process. We use evidence-based techniques to help clients recognise their triggers, build emotional awareness, and learn healthier ways to respond to distress.
In certain cases, anger may also be linked to substance use or behavioural addictions. If this is present, we prioritise establishing a recovery-oriented plan with the client’s consent and readiness for change. Treating addiction often plays a crucial role in managing emotional regulation and improving overall mental health.
The goal is to equip clients with the tools and insight needed to regain control over their reactions and create a more stable, peaceful daily life.
Family violence
Family violence can be emotional, physical, mental, or psychological—and it can affect anyone, at any age. It’s never okay, and it’s never your fault.
Your safety, your peace of mind, and your mental health are not luxuries—they’re your right.
If you’re living with violence, please know this: reaching out is not a sign of weakness. It’s the first step toward healing, safety, and hope. You are not alone, and help is here.
Relationships
-Pre marriage counselling
- Not all relationships are healthy, and sometimes it can be hard to recognise when a partnership has become harmful. Toxic relationships can take many forms—controlling behaviour, constant criticism, emotional neglect, or patterns that leave you feeling trapped and diminished.
- If you’re feeling stuck, uncertain about your relationship, or unsure of the next step, you are not alone. In counselling, we provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your experiences, gain clarity, and develop practical strategies for change.
- Our work together focuses on helping you understand your own needs, identify unhealthy patterns, and take steps toward building relationships that are safe, respectful, and supportive. Everyone deserves to feel valued and free from harm—and support is available to help you move toward that reality.
-Family therapy
Family tension and instability can significantly impact mental health, sometimes leading to depression and, in severe cases, thoughts of suicide. It’s important to address these challenges early and with care.
I’m here to support families in strengthening their relationships by working through the issues step by step. Together, we will:
- Identify and clearly define the core problems.
- Develop and enhance effective communication skills.
- Learn strategies to protect yourself from future harm.
- Allow time and space for inner healing and reflection.
- Establish healthy and respectful boundaries.
- Foster acceptance and unconditional love within the family.
Through this process, healing and growth become possible, creating a safer and more supportive family environment.
Addiction
Addiction can affect many areas of life, impacting not only the individual but also their loved ones. Recovery is a journey that requires patience, understanding, and the right support.
Through counselling, we work together to identify the root causes of addiction and develop personalised strategies for recovery. This includes building coping skills, managing triggers, and fostering healthier habits. With a focus on hope and resilience, the goal is to support you in reclaiming control over your life and moving toward lasting wellness.
Asylum seekers
Seeking asylum can be an overwhelming and uncertain experience, often accompanied by trauma, loss, and the challenges of adjusting to a new environment.
I provide compassionate support to asylum seekers, helping navigate these complex emotions and circumstances. Our work together focuses on creating a safe space to process past experiences, build resilience, and explore pathways to healing and integration. You don’t have to face this journey alone—support is available every step of the way.
Loneliness
Loneliness is a deeply human experience that can affect anyone, at any stage of life. Feeling disconnected or isolated can have significant impacts on emotional and mental well-being.
Counselling offers a welcoming space to explore these feelings without judgment. Together, we can uncover the underlying causes of loneliness, develop meaningful connections, and build the social and emotional skills that nurture a sense of belonging and fulfillment.
the healing
Every person experiences both giving and receiving hurt throughout life. Many of us carry wounds from childhood or past experiences that continue to affect us. Inner healing is the gentle process of allowing those past scars and unresolved feelings to surface, so they can be addressed and transformed.
Together, we’ll explore who you truly are, the purpose you were created for, and the path you are called to follow. This journey toward healing is an opportunity to release burdens and embrace the life you were meant to live.
Religious abuse
Religious abuse occurs when spiritual beliefs or practices are used to control, manipulate, or harm individuals. This form of abuse can leave lasting emotional and spiritual wounds.
If you feel trapped in a cult or any controlling religious environment, Harvest Counselling is here to support you. We provide a safe and respectful space to explore your experiences, validate your feelings, and begin the journey toward healing.
Together, we will work through the impact of such abuse and help restore a healthy, empowering relationship with your faith and yourself.
